Anil Kumar SG (Director & CEO)

anilAnil is the founder of Samunnati. Anil is a career banker with over 24 years of experience in the areas of Rural, Retail and Agri Banking. He started his career with Canara Bank and then joined ICICI Bank. Over the last decade, Anil’s work was focused on creating newer institutions across the country and operating in the financially excluded markets with corresponding support structures for their capacity building. Prior to Samunnati, Anil as a Co-Founder & Trustee of IFMR Trust and the CEO of IFMR Rural Channels, conceptualized, designed, developed and spearheaded a new model of delivery of financial services in remote rural areas – the KGFS model. Anil has done Masters in Management from Asian Institute of Management, Manila.  He has Masters in Business Administration from Symbiosis Institute of Management, Pune and Graduation in Humanities from Osmania University, Hyderabad.

Gurunath N (Executive Director)
Gurunath N is the Executive Director of Samunnati. Guru has over 30 years of experience in the banking and financial services space and started his career with TMB and moved to ICICI where he served in various roles for 15 years. Guru has also played key roles across Business and Operations in IFMR group of companies where has also served as CEO of a NBFC (Pudhuaaru Financial Services Private Limited) while at IFMR.
Nitin Chaudhary (Products And Innovation)

Nitin Chaudhary heads Strategic Initiatives & Investor Relations at Samunnati. Before Samunnati, Nitin was Executive Director of Micro Pension Foundation and was head of VISA’s Payments and Financial Inclusion Lab in India. He was responsible for projects and research initiatives in the areas of micro-payments, consumer financial services and financial inclusion. He specifically focused on the adjacencies between payment and efforts to provide affordable financial services to unorganized sector workers. Prior to joining the Micro Pension Foundation, he worked at Invest India Micro Pensions, leading operations and strategic initiatives.

He has earlier headed the Product design and management functions at IFMR Rural Finance and was part of the core team that set up Kshetriya Gramin Financial Services Companies (shadow banking companies serving remote rural population in India). He brings an uncommon perspective to effectively distributing financial services products to low income households.

Ritesh Nair (Compliance & Internal Control)

Ritesh Nair heads Compliance & Internal Control function at Samunnati. He has more than 18 years of experience in the financial services & banking arena in areas of Retail Assets Underwriting, Internal Control, Anti Money Laundering Operations, Branch Operations, Retail & Corporate Liabilities Operations. Prior to joining Samuunati, Ritesh was associated with IFMR Rural Channels & Services Pvt Ltd as Head – Internal Control. He has previously worked with reputed organizations like Citibank, Citifinancial, IndusInd Bank, Repco Bank, and Thomas Cook.

Sridhar Easwaran (Operations & Credit)

Sridhar Easwaran heads Operations, Credit & Technology functions at Samunnati. He has 30 years of experience in Banking Operations, Project Management, System implementation & Risk Management. He started his career with PriceWaterhouse Coopers & later moved to HDFC Bank.
Prior to joining Samunnati, Sridhar played a key role in setting up Retail Banking Operations for global MNC‟s & was COO for a leading NBFC.
